Ceramics Firing Service

If you aren't a member or our student, you may make an appointment to drop off your work to fire at cone 04 or 6*.

Firing is 3 cents/cubic inch with a $2.00 minimum/piece for one firing. This firing fee is by the piece/firing. You must measure your work, request a personal firing link from us, and enter your work into our firing fee system to pay after you've made an appointment. Measure the three widest points of each piece, the app will do the math for you.

You must know and attest to the fact that you work fires to cone 6, not 06. If you aren't sure, ask the people where you purchased the clay before filling out our agreement. (If you put low-fire in clay in our mid-range firing and damage the kiln or others' work, you will be responsible for all repairs and losses- and we don't want that!)

​Picking Up Your Work:​

​You will be automatically notified when your work is ready to pick up. You do not need to make an appointment with us to pick up your work; it will be on our community shelves once it's out of the kiln. You can arrive at the studio between 10 am and 8 pm on weekdays and 10 to 12 pm on weekends to get your work. We cannot honor deadline requests, though we do our best to fire quickly. We prioritize the work of our members and students. Firing typically takes one to 2 weeks.​
