Class Notes:
- You can take multiple classes each week, or just one when you can squeeze it in. Our unique scheduling system allows for the most flexibility and is very affordable. You don't need to be locked into a series of classes, but you should plan to attend several classes to complete any work. Making ceramics is a multi-step process. Learning to make ceramics is fun, but takes time! Give yourself a chance to improve by taking multiple classes over time.

- You can sign up for a single class, or purchase a bundle of classes at a discount. Purchasing a bundle does not require making appointments right away. When you are ready to use a class from your bundle follow the same link (below) as if you were registering for a single class to use your code.

- Bring your own apron or change of clothes, hand towel, and a set of basic tools. If you do not have tools and would like your own, we have basic tool kits available at the studio for purchase.

-
Firing fees are not included in class prices, fees start at $4.50/piece.

-
Drop-ins are welcome when possible, however, registration is required for a guaranteed spot.

-
Enrollment is ongoing in our weekly classes - no fixed start or end dates! Attend when you can, skip when you can't without losing a class.

-
For a one-time experience where your work will be completed for you, try a private lesson. If you are just visiting, or don't want to take multiple classes to finish a piece, a private lesson is the way to go!

-
Practice time: An open studio orientation outside of class is required before students can participate in the additional hour included in our Beyond Basics class. Students who have taken orientation may also purchase a weekly open studio pass at $38/week for unlimited additional practice.

- If you have a pacemaker, Shimpo discourages working on their magnetic wheels.
