Community Partnerships
Kingston Ceramic Studio is an active community partner with local non-profit organizations. Donations to fundraising efforts have helped Arts MidHudson, High Meadow School, Rosendale Theatre, Stone Ridge Library, and the TMI Project.
More involved programs have included a Black History Month event sponsored by My Kingston Kids at KCS. This family fun event involves a read-aloud of a children's book about a historical African American artist and a chance to create in clay.
Midtown Art District's annual Celebration of the Arts has included clay for the last few years with the help of KCS, most memorably 2020s commUNITY Clay Project, the Puggles!
KCS co-sponsored a weekly community clay workshop at African Roots Center in October 2021. KCS is collaborating with the Kingston Boys & Girls Club and local ceramic artist, Kelly Storrs, to provide ceramics instructions to Kingston youth.
